The Polish Journal of Materials and Environmental Engineering (PJMEE) is a continuation of the journal Inżynieria Włókiennicza i Ochrona Środowiska (IWOS), published since 1993. PJMEE volumes are published twice a year (in June and December) in an electronic version. The journal is indexed in the following academic databases: BazTech, Google Scholar, Index Copernicus, Biblioteka Nauki.
The journal publishes articles on materials engineering, as well as on technology and all activities for the sustainable use of natural resources and their preservation for future generations.
The articles are published in Polish with a summary in English. At the authors’ request, the article may be published in English.
Each article is reviewed by two experts. The experts have at least a doctoral degree. Two positive reviews are required to publish the article. In case of one negative review, a third reviewer is assigned. Two negative reviews result in rejection of the article. As of 2023, a double-blind review process is used. The author and reviewers remain anonymous to each other. Reviewers receive a review form in which they choose the options of allowing the article to be published (without revisions, with revisions) or decide to reject the article. On the basis of positive reviews and after taking into account the comments in them, the final decision to publish the article is made by the Editor-in-Chief.
The editorial office operate according to the principles of publication ethics developed by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE – http://publicationethics.org/resources/code-conduct). The author of the article attaches a statement in which he declares respect for the law and ethics. If the author is found to have violated the principles of publication ethics, the editors will inform the entity employing the author and the main scientific information platforms.
